Her tagline is “Better Than Naked”, and she’s certainly convinced us! Her pieces combine delicacy and minimalism, along with a deep appreciation of body’s natural beauty.

In her debut collection called Venus in Furs, each Marika Vera piece features fabrics so light that they border on ethereal in combination with intricate leatherwork. Silk satin straps are added at the end as a light dash of luxury. Each piece shifts with your movement to temptingly conceal and reveal. The leather pieces are easily removable when you get ready to wash your lingerie.

The full line includes high-waisted knickers, teddies, bodysuits, and dramatic robes, but our favorite has to be the CECILIA silk chiffon long kimono robe. It’s slits and ties shift as you walk, adding an extra bit of seduction to your stride.

My Week With Marilyn + What Katie Did

My Week with Marilyn is an upcoming British drama film starring Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe. The film centers on a week Monroe’s life in the summer of 1956 on the set of the movie The Prince and the Showgirl.  Vintage lingerie designer label, What Katie Did, was asked to supply lingerie for the movie which will have its world premiere at the 2011 New York Film Festival on October 9th. The film will be released on November 4th in the United States and November 18th in the United Kingdom, and we can't wait to see it!
