The Seven Bar Foundation redefined sexy again, at this time in Manhattan on October 21, showcasing haute lingerie designs of Carine Gilson and Atsuko Kudo to continue supporting fundraising for underprivileged women to start their businesses through microloans.
Guests included Michelle Rodriguez, Russell Simmons, Braylon Edwards of the New York Jets, actor/singer Lukas Haas, Veronica Webb, Sofia Vergara of ABC’s “Modern Family” (the hostess of the event), among over five-hundred of Manhattan’s finest.
{The mantra of the Seven Bar Foundation is based largely on philosopher Maimonides’ eighth principle of his Golden Ladder of Giving: “To prevent poverty by teaching a trade, setting a person up in business or in some other way preventing the need of charity.” Lingerie New York, which raised over $500,000 for the Seven Bar Foundation and our vision of microfinance, was a significant rung in our personal ladder, a ladder which symbolizes the exit strategy for women to raise themselves out of poverty.} (Seven Bar Foundation)
