Jean Paul Gaultier for La Perla

Jean Paul Gaultier has designed a lingerie collection for La Perla.

He may have designed one of the most iconic bras ever seen but Jean Paul Gaultier has never designed a collection of lingerie. Until now. The French designer has teamed up with La Perla to create a capsule collection for A/W 2010.

Two of the pieces are set to make their debut on the catwalk next week during Gaultier's couture show, and the full collection will then hit stores in November.

So what to expect? The waist-cinching corsets that are JPG's bread and butter, bras inspired by the now legendary Madonna cones, and retro high-waisted knickers, all in baby pink, ivory and black. It's all luxe, feminine and frankly too beautiful to be hidden under clothes.
